Borrego Springs Resort & Country Club, is a Resort, 27 hole golf facility located in Borrego Springs, California
Three 9-hole courses; The Palms, Desert Willow and Mesquite, offer golfers of all playing ability the challenges of undulating fairways, vast bunkers and five lakes. With an average of 6,760 yards per 18-holes and four sets of tees to choose from, the Cary Bickler designed courses provides a challenge for golfers of all skill levels.
The lush landscaping incorporates the local desert foliage with several hundred mature date palms with the Santa Rosa Mountains providing a great backdrop in every direction.
The course closed September 20, 2019.
A surprise announcement on Friday Sept. 20 announced that the golf course at the Borrego Springs Resort will not reopen for the 2019 – 20 season.
All Resort golf club staff and maintenance personnel were abruptly terminated, and the water was shut off, leaving the long-term fate of the course in doubt.
“The financial viability of the golf course operation has not improved enough to continue operation for this upcoming season,” said the Resort General Manager Erica Atmaca.
